Handstands are just a skill, right? I thought the same a few years ago. But in fact, they are not. They are a whole microcosm one can explore if one is willing to go down this path. But even if that'S not a goal of yours learning to balance a solid two arm handstand for a few seconds is of benefits for many disciplines like CrossFit, Calisthenics, Gymnastics, and more. Plus, it helps you further refine your body map and get comfortable with this very awkward place to be - upside down.
The programs HandstandFactory sells provide a structured way to get there by practising success, rather than endless kickups that are dictated by chance.
From Beginner to Advanced
They started with a few programs, but their catalogue nowadays features a lot of different products for various endpoints. The ones I have experience with and recommend are those:
Push - their beginner program to learn a solid 2-arm handstand
Keep Pushing - introducing shapes, jumps and shape changes
Handstand Pushup - pretty obvious goal, right?
Press - goes into depth on the standing presses and lower presses
Grip - a supplemental forearm program to prehab & condition your wrists
My Experience
I wanted to learn a handstand for a long time and practiced them via the famous 'Kick up and Pray' method. Needless to say I had no success. After 2 years of messing around like this I decided I get help and bought their Push program.
From then on, handstands got me hooked, and I nearly practice them entirely. That was 2 years ago. What first was meant a means to an end, various calisthenics skills, became my passion. Their programs were a great help and nowadays still I trust their outlines and methods.
