Beyond Books
Books are great and feel good - yet eReaders, Podcasts and Audiobooks all come with their distinctive pros & cons and are more flexible. I highly recommend Audible & the Kindle eReaders - you can click the links & get 2 free eBooks when registering for Audible.
eReaders are great for travelling or when you read a lot. I bet you know the issue, some books are nice to have in a shelf and worth presenting, others might not. Moreover, ebooks save you a lot of money as they cost half of the price, most classic books even often come for 1-2€ quit. The same goes for audiobooks, many of them are a lot cheaper than hardcover books & pocket books. Yet, having a nice leather-bound copy of a classic in your personal library simply looks good on occasion.
On top of that, audiobooks and podcast often are the way to go while commuting or walking around. They're a simple way to fill daily time with something productive and distract oneself from the mundane daily tasks.
Kindle & Audible
The more we get away from our racial history as Homo Sapiens and nature the more issues will arise. This is the problem of contemporary humans. These selected books shed light on the miniscule processes going on and reveal the importance of remembering who we are:
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite* - waterproof & relatively cheap, lacks the light setting though
Kindle Oasis* - with light adjustability, especially useful when reading late to avoid blue light
Audible free test membership* + 2 free Audiobooks
My Experience
I bought my first eReader 3 years ago and would never go back. While I still enjoy having certain reads as real bound hardcovers, I buy most digitally. Especially for travelling they're worth their weight in gold and eBooks save me a lot of money.
Audiobooks are as handy as podcast - though I am listening more to podcasts on the go, I particularly like audiobooks for longer durations of travel like when driving a lot and a high-stress, high-stimulating conversation on a podcast would be attentional overkill.
