Best Kitchen Helpers
The Kitchen is another prime place where we ingest pollutants and estrogens from our environment. Fortunately easy swap can help. The button bring you to my list, the links directly to the chosen products.
Let's face it - plastics are everywhere nowadays. And they all come with substances that harm your sex hormones and disrupt your sleep. Fortunately, if you know that, they can be avoided pretty easily by buying quality products made from ancestral materials like wood, metal, or glass. Even food grade silicone works. Nonetheless, living plastic free is probably not possible anymore. Yet by avoiding it where possible one can drastically decrease the amount of plastics one gets exposed to - especially in the kitchen, where foods are stored in containers, or heated in them this makes a difference.
Wide Variety for all Endpoints
The following products are the best swaps with commonly used products made from plastics, as well as my few favourite devices:
Glass & Steel Kitchen Containers* - get rid of plastic food containers and swap them with glass/steel ones
Reusable Beewax Wrap* & Baking Mat* - get rid of synthetic wraps & baking sheets and save money/waste in the long run
Food Grade Silikone Bags* - get rid of plastic bags for storing food in your freezer/fridge
Yogurt Maker* - make your own yogurt at home from quality raw milk instead of pasteurized milk with additives
Food Dehydrator* - make your own beef jerky and pemmican at home, the perfect track food
Crockpot* - perfect to make your own bone broth and save a lot of money with lose to no work involved
My Experience
I started to dive into water & plastic's role as pollutants in our modern environments a year ago with reading Dr. Anthony Jay's 'Estrogeneration*'. A great book diving in these matters.
Consequently, I threw out all plastic I could eliminate for better materials like glass, wood, steel, and food grade silicone. Easy fixes with huge consequences.
